She completed her secondary education at Cours Sainte-Marie de Hann in Senegal, where she pursued a scientific track and earned her high school diploma in 2013. That same year, she moved to Ottawa, Canada, to pursue undergraduate studies in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Ottawa. During her second year, she began working as a laboratory clerk in the university’s Nursing Department. In her final year, she conducted a research project in virology and co-authored the scientific publication “Ebola virus requires phosphatidylinositol (3,5) bisphosphate production for efficient viral entry.” She graduated cum laude in 2017.
Upon completing her MSc at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dulcie was appointed Health and Safety Coordinator at Altitude Sports in May 2020. That same
year, she collaborated with the Ministry of Health of Burkina Faso as a member of an analysis and research committee, contributing her expertise in microbiology and
virology. Concurrently, she launched her cosmetics brand, Holy Lovely Body, specializing in body care solutions.
In 2021, Dulcie joined CIMA+, an engineering consulting firm, as a Health and Safety Advisor—a role she continues to hold. She later earned certification in clinical aromatherapy and relocated to Toronto to pursue a diploma in medical aesthetics. In 2022, she was appointed Treasurer of the Association of Burkinabè of Toronto (ABT), serving for two years before joining the Kantiono Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education for children from underserved communities, where she currently serves as Vice Co-Chair.
