Eban: Building Fences of Love and Learning Across Borders!
The Eban Cross-Border Outreach Initiative
Since 2007, Rose Kantiono has mobilized schools, communities, individuals, and organizations to support teaching and learning in Africa. Through fundraising and the provision of school supplies, hundreds of students in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and Uganda have benefited from educational resources. Connecting Canadian students and educators with their African counterparts has been a transformative experience—fostering cultural exchange, mutual learning, and deep impact on both sides.
The Eban Cross-Border Outreach Initiative is the natural continuation of this humanitarian work. Inspired by the Akan word Eban, meaning “fence” and symbolizing love, safety, and security, this program seeks to build protective and supportive educational bridges across continents.
