Kantiono Foundation will collaborate closely with schools and community organizations to identify and select students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to positive change. The selection process will be conducted in partnership with these institutions to ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with clearly defined academic and leadership criteria.
Program Overview:
The Kantiono Excellence Award honors exceptional students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and community engagement. This award targets students at key educational milestones in Africa and Canada, empowering them to pursue higher education and become agents of change.
Target Groups:
- Canada:
- Grade 12 students from Black communities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Africa:
- Grade 6 students completing primary school.
- Grade 12 students graduating from secondary school.
Purpose & Objectives:
- Celebrate Excellence: Recognize students who excel academically and lead with integrity.
- Promote Access: Provide financial and mentorship support for continued education.
- Empower Communities: Encourage leadership and innovation among youth.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade 6 (Africa):
- Completing primary school with strong academic results.
- Grade 12 (Africa & Canada):
- Graduating with academic excellence and leadership qualities.
- Must show school and community involvement, personal resilience, and initiative.
