Elizabeth Koyara serves as Secretary of the KAFO Foundation, where she plays a pivotal role in amplifying the organization’s reach and influence across Canada and Africa. She leads efforts to strengthen visibility, cultivate strategic partnerships, and engage donors, ensuring that KAFO’s mission to empower communities and support education is both sustainable and far-reaching. Through her leadership, Elizabeth drives initiatives that connect resources to needs, turning vision into measurable impact. Originally from the Central African Republic, Elizabeth has called Canada home for 17 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from York University’s Glendon Campus and brings a wealth of experience in social and employment services, non-profit management, and event coordination—all rooted in community engagement and advocacy.

Professional Career

Elizabeth’s professional journey includes over five years with WorkBC Employment Services, where she excelled in roles such as Case Manager, Customer Service Coordinator, and Employment Resource Advisor. In these positions, she played a vital role in delivering French-language employment services to Francophone communities in Vancouver and Chilliwack, strengthening access through partnerships and targeted outreach.

Humanitarian Work & Community Engagement

Her commitment to social impact extends to her work with Canadian Samaritans for Africa as an Administrative Officer and as Assistant Manager at La Maison, a Francophone women’s transitional housing centre. These experiences deepened her passion for empowering vulnerable individuals—men, women, youth, and children—through education, action, and compassion.
